What happens to your data when you visit this website, and what rights you have.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website, within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), is:

[Full name]
[Street and house number]
[Postcode] Berlin, Germany
Email: reyhanehjafari.ba@gmail.com

2. The short version

  • This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
  • There is no contact form, newsletter or user account. If you contact me, you do so by email.
  • Your browser contacts only the web host to load the site. That involves your IP address (see section 3).
  • Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your own browser only.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by [hosting provider, address]. When you visit a page, the server automatically records technical data in log files: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the requested page, the amount of data sent, the referring page, and the browser and operating system you use.

This data is needed to deliver the site, to keep it secure and to find faults. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable and secure website). The log files are deleted after [number] days. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR exists with the hosting provider: [confirm].

4. Fonts and scripts

The typeface (Manrope) and the scripts for animations, page transitions and smooth scrolling are stored on this website's own server and are delivered together with the pages. Your browser does not load fonts, scripts or other resources from third-party servers such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks, so no data about your visit is passed on to them.

5. Data stored in your browser

When you switch between the light and the dark theme, the website saves your choice in your browser's local storage (key: theme), so that the page looks the same on your next visit. The value contains no personal data, is not sent to a server and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings. For the same reason the website remembers for the length of your visit (session storage, key: heroIntro) that the opening animation has already played. Because these are needed for a function you have asked for, no consent is required (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

The "copy email" button copies the email address to your clipboard. This happens only in your browser; no data is sent.

6. Contacting me by email

If you email me, I process your email address, your message and the time of sending in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message is about a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). I delete the messages once the matter is settled and there is no legal duty to keep them, usually after [period].

Please note that email sent without encryption can be read by third parties on its way.

7. Links to other websites

This website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn. Following a link takes you to that provider, whose own privacy policy applies. No data is passed on to them when you only see the link on this site.

8. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Correction of incorrect data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Deletion of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent you have given, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To use any of these rights, email me at the address in section 1.

9. Right to complain to a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The authority responsible for me is: [confirm: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, mailbox@datenschutz-berlin.de].

10. Changes to this policy

I update this policy when the website or the law changes. For example, if analytics, a newsletter or a contact form is added, this page will be updated first. Current version: 3 November 2026.
